Doc Brown and Marty McFly’s future is edging closer to reality.
On April 30, Franky Zapata broke the Guinness World Record for farthest flight by a hoverboard with the FlyBoard Air. Zapata traveled 7,388 feet on the device breaking the previous record — set by Catalin Alexandru Duru last year — by over 6,000 feet, according to Guinness.
Zapata is the man behind Zapata Racing, a company known for creating jet packs and hoverboards that take you into the air by shooting water out of funnels located on the devices.
